“Reflexology’s Role in client Wellness (Now and Future Visions)” is a workshop by author and educator Paula S. Stone scheduled for the RAA Biennial Conference May 2-4, 2014 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Summary: A major shift in the health care paradigm is underway in the United States as it solidly enters the 21st century. This change — harolded by the “Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act” combined with a growing sense of self-responsibility for one’s own health care — signals a shift in choices and options.
This workshop will present four topics. They are:
1. An overview of reflexology in the current wellness paradigm.
2. The role of reflexology in client care: palliative care, condition management, and therapeutic change.
3. Roles and Boundaries (a reflexologist’s role in wellness and client management)
4. A bright future for reflexologists (and reflexology) in wellness and health care.
Those seeking to enter this new arena are encouraged to attend. Come equipped with an open mind, open heart, and the willingness to see an expanded vision of reflexology’s role.
The conference is sponsored by the Reflexology Association of America. For information and to register, visit www.reflexology-usa.org.
